Terms of Service

Effective July 19, 2026

These terms govern your use of EquityBridge — a platform for verified nonprofit profiles, explainable discovery, and controlled, double-opt-in introductions between organizations, funders, and advisers.

1. Agreement to these terms

By using theequitybridge.co or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you use EquityBridge on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to represent it and that the organization also agrees to these terms.

2. What EquityBridge is

EquityBridge is a verification and introduction platform. Organizations build a verified profile and publish funding priorities; funders and advisers discover them through explainable matching and request controlled, double-opt-in introductions.

EquityBridge does not process payments, hold funds, or take a percentage of any gift or grant. Any funding relationship, transfer of money, or agreement that follows an introduction happens directly between the parties, off the platform, and is solely their responsibility.

3. What verification means — and what it doesn't

Verification levels describe information EquityBridge reviewed at a point in time. A verification level is not a rating, a recommendation, or an endorsement, and it is not a guarantee of an organization's impact, financial strength, or legal compliance. You are responsible for your own diligence before entering any funding relationship.

4. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit and for activity under your account. Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly at legal@theequitybridge.co if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend accounts that misrepresent an organization or a person.

5. Acceptable use

When using EquityBridge you agree not to:

  • Submit false or misleading information in a profile, verification process, or introduction request.
  • Impersonate another person or organization, or claim an affiliation you don't have.
  • Scrape, harvest, or resell platform data, including organization or member information.
  • Use the platform to send unsolicited bulk outreach or to harass other members.
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or attempt to bypass its security or visibility controls.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant EquityBridge a license to host, display, and share it as needed to operate the platform — for example, showing your public profile in discovery or sharing your contact details when you accept an introduction. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload.

7. Introductions

Introductions are double-opt-in: both sides must accept before contact details are shared, and either side may decline or ignore a request without penalty. EquityBridge is not a party to, and makes no promises about, anything the parties agree to after an introduction.

8. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep information accurate and the service reliable, but we do not warrant that profiles are error-free, that any match or introduction will lead to funding, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EquityBridge is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or for the acts or omissions of other members — including anything that happens in a funding relationship formed after an introduction.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse verification, or put other members at risk. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content license for past public activity, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. For material changes we will update the effective date above and notify account holders before the changes take effect; continued use after that means you accept the updated terms.
